Mental Health Inspired Artwork

I don't profess to be a great artist, but I do find drawing out my pain to be very therapeutic.

WARNING: Some of the images are potentially triggering as they show distress and trauma

This was one of my earlier sketches, representing the therapeutic relationship and my hand reaching out for my therapist's hand.

My therapist has done a lot of 'inner child' work with me, encouraging me to connect with my child part and to nurture her.  This is how my child part was feeling. She wanted to hide away from the trauma of her childhood.

This picture is in memory of our cat who sadly passed away too young.

This was another inner child drawing.  My child part was having a hard time coping in between therapy sessions.

This was a week after the inner child drawing above.  My therapist pointed out that the two drawings are the two sides of my pain, reflecting my child part and my adult part.
